Redefining the standard of public transport food services.

In its continued mission to revolutionize train travel in India, the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Ltd. (IRCTC) has taken yet another transformative step. With a focus on delivering premium, hygienic, and consistently high-quality meals, IRCTC has launched a series of meal trials under a structured Proof of Concept (PoC).

This initiative brings some of India’s most reputable food and beverage brands directly into the heart of railway catering. For IRCTC, "good is never good enough." The ongoing PoC is part of an ambitious strategy to reimagine onboard dining.

A Comprehensive Upgrade

In recent years, IRCTC has undertaken a modernization effort including upgrading kitchen infrastructure and standardizing hygiene protocols. Passengers on premium trains like Vande Bharat have increasingly expressed appreciation for these evolving standards.

"The initiative reaffirms IRCTC’s role not just as a service provider but as a pioneer of transformation within the Indian Railways ecosystem."

The PoC is designed to observe how branded meals enhance satisfaction and reduce manual errors. So far, feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with praise for freshness and presentation.
