A tribute to humble beginnings. The new food plaza at Vadnagar transports travelers back to the 1970s with a "Tribute in Tea".
"A Tribute in Tea"
Worn wood, copper utensils, and the nostalgia of a 1970s railway platform.
In a significant blend of cultural tribute and modern railway hospitality, IRCTC has launched a unique theme-based Food Plaza at Vadnagar Railway Station. Commissioned on 17th September 2025, this project aligns with the birthday of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
Vadnagar holds deep emotional significance as the Prime Minister’s hometown. The new plaza is more than just an amenity; it is a thoughtful convergence of heritage and innovation.

Celebrating Roots
The location is no coincidence. Vadnagar station is associated with the PM’s formative years, where he helped his father serve tea. This humble beginning symbolizes aspiration.
By choosing this site, IRCTC is crafting a tribute to the Indian dream. The facility spread across 383 square meters provides ample seating, blending spaciousness with aesthetic appeal.
Familiar, Affordable, Flavorful
